we are now offering Scent Work Classes

Beginner's

During beginners scent work classes, we teach our dogs to search for red Kong.

we build up the scent ID, work on training an indication as well a a methodical search.

A course is 6 weeks long with classes lasting 1 hour, during the last class we will hold a blind search to be able to see just how much our dogs have learned,

Course cost is £90

Intermediate

During our intermediate classes we will change our scent to Gun Oil, we will work on, building our scent ID, extending the length of our linier searches and on more systematic method of searching. we will look at how to effectively search an area, route, building and vehicle.

Advanced

During Advanced classes we will continue to work with gun oil. we will start to proof our dogs searching skills and indication and recognition of the scent in a variety of different environments with their own different distractions.

Sleuthing hounds scent work club

For those of you who have completed your UK Sniffer Dogs Bronze award Classes, I will be holding a 2 hour session on the second Saturday of every month.

The venue for these sessions will vary as we start to build generalisation into our dogs searching abilities. Some may be indoor some maybe out door, but we will always be building on what our dogs already know.

On special occasions we may even look at having a fun themed trial.

Club will cost £20 for the 2 hour session
